Since opening, the gallery has provided clientele with ongoing opportunities to view its artists with exhibitions rotating every 2–3 weeks. Previous themed exhibitions have included the Landscape, the colour Red and Favourite Things.
Gallery@28's main philosophy in presenting group exhibitions throughout 2009 was to establish a strong connection between varying artists within Sydney's arts community. This approach has also provided artists with ongoing access to the gallery's clientele and passing trade.
As well as current solo exhibitions, Gallery@28 has a stockroom collection of each artists' work. This allows the Gallery@28 to demonstrate the evolution and specific practice of each artist for clientele to view on visiting, or by appointment.
The coming together of quality and affordability is a founding ideal in the creation of Gallery@28. Uniquely for a space in Woollahra, Gallery@28 showcases a high quality, affordable and contemporary art collection to the buying public.
Gallery@28 provides a strong collection from a diverse range of Sydney artists with a price range anywhere from $100 to $5000. Guaranteeing an opportunity of purchasing cutting-edge, colourful and bold creations, Kate's main goal is to offer the beginner art collector a portal into contemporary Sydney art within a reachable price range.

The gallery's owner and director, a practicing artist and contemporary art consultant maintains a professional, fine-art eye when selecting pieces to be shown in the gallery from a broad spectrum of Australian and International artists.
The gallery collection covers a diverse range of mediums including sculpture, paintings, mixed media, etchings and photography.
Since graduating from Sydney's The National Art School in 1993 Kate has provided corporate and private collectors with personalised art consultancy, including the founding of KPMG's art collection currently on display in their corporate headquarters in Sydney.
While being Gallery@28 Director, Kate continues to provide art consultancy services to existing and new customers.
Kate’s own arts practice and has exhibited continuously over the last 15 years with her work being shown in Sydney at Iain Dawson Gallery, Gallery Savah, Newtown Studios and private group exhibitions.
Kate is also an avid art collector with over 20 years experience with a private collection that includes art from established and emerging artists. |
