MICHAEL FAIRWEATHER
Opening: Wednesday June 16, 6–8 pm
Exhibition: June 16–29
Gallery@28 proudly presents The Salon artwork by Michael Fairweather.
Michael Fairweather depicts the Salon in his one off digital drawings, inkjet printed on canvas and paper.

“From an early age I have been intrigued and fascinated by the salon, the decadent pleasures and excitements enjoyed by an up market patron in the highly decorative oasis of pampering.”explains Fairweather.
Inspired by the American Pop Artist Alex Katz, Fairweather plays with the notion of technology through the medium of computer illustration, replicating the pop tradition of the printed image.
“What attracted me to Michael's work was the pop art like qualities, his use of bright colour and the humour. I am interested in the new way he is drawing using the computer. Michael's work always has something to say... I’m looking forward to his second solo show with the gallery.” comments Kate Hopkinson-Pointer director of Gallery@ 28 Woollahra.
