Commission and Sale of Artworks

• Gallery@28 commission is 40% of the total price of the Artwork
• Artist receives 60% of the total price of the Artwork
• Gallery@28 reserves final decision on sale and final price of Artwork

Exhibition Invitation and PR

• Artists must deliver a CV and Artist Statement and Exhibition Title to Gallery@28 ONE MONTH prior to exhibition date.
• Gallery@28 highly recommends Artists get professional photographs taken of their artworks (Please ask if you need a recommendation).
• Artists must deliver at least 3 Digital Images of intended exhibition artwork to Gallery@28 ONE MONTH prior to exhibition date.
• Digital images for printed invitations must be at least:
  • HORIZONTAL INVITATION LAYOUT
    2555x1420 pixels, 220 x 120mm @ 300dpi
  • VERTICAL INVITATION LAYOUT
    1820x1820 pixels, 155 x 155mm @ 300dpi
• Gallery@28 reserves the right to request further digital images if necessary.
• If images are are deemed not suitable by Gallery@28, Gallery@28 will reserve the right to photograph artwork and will charge the Artist for extra expenses incurred.
• Artists may indicate a preference for one of two versions of invitation artwork, however the final decision for invitation artwork rests with Gallery@28.
• The Gallery@28 branding area will remain free of any individual artists' artwork, names and exhibition titles.
• Artists will incur 50% of invitation and PR production.
• If digital images and exhibition title are not delivered by the due date, Gallery@28 cannot guarantee the opportunity for Artist input prior to invititation production.
• If the exhibition is cancelled by the Artist 3 weeks prior to the agreed exhibition opening date, the Artist will be liable for all invitation and PR expenses incurred to that point.

Delivery of Artwork for Exhibition

• Artists artworks for exhibition MUST be delivered NO LATER than the Saturday prior to the exhibition opening.
• Artists must make a specific appointment time with Gallery@28 for the delivery.
• Contact Gallery@28 on 02 9363 9892 to make an appointment.
• Photographic work and works on paper must be mounted or framed.

Curation of Exhibition

• Gallery@28 is happy to hear suggestions and requests regarding the hanging of work.
• Requests/suggestions can be written or verbal but must be communicated at delivery of artwork AT THE LATEST.
• Gallery@28 reserves the right to final hanging and curation of exhibition, including the exclusion of delivered artwork.
• No negotiation regarding hanging/curation will be entered into on the day of hanging.

Opening Night

• Exhibition Opening times are strictly 6pm to 8pm on the day advertised.
• Artist will incur 50% of the cost of alcohol provided at their Exhibition Opening.
• All alcohol will be supplied by Gallery@28.
• The Artist will be liable for any stock/premises damage or loss during their Exhibition Opening.

Post Exhibition

• Gallery@28 will negotiate with the Artist artworks to be kept in stock.
• Artists artwork will need to be collected not more than ONE WEEK after exhibition close.
• Artists must make an appointment to collect artworks.
